History

Development of the company

Since the outset Vogel & Noot has manufactured tools and jigs for forming sheet-metal and has supplied these tools to a wide range of trades, such as the automobile, household and gardening tools and construction machinery industries.

Because of rapid developments and an excellent know-how potential, we were able massively to increase the production of complex tools for end-use in the automobile sector.

An essential milestone in the development of tool making at Wartberg was when we embarked upon the production and development of heat shield tools. But we should also mention the development and manufacture of tools for complex end-uses, working with high-quality steel and aluminium sheets.

Before long the engineering and production sectors were able to adjust to the high specification demands of 3 D construction, linked up with metal forming simulation technology.

Today the Vogel & Noot Technology GmbH is one of the highest competence partners for total solutions on the European market.

Review

In 1872 Vogel & Noot establishes the Wartberg site in the Mürz valley (Styria). Iron and steel production and the further processing of steel and iron make the Mur and Mürz valleys Austria's key industrial region. For sheet-metal working, the site at Mitterdorf/Wartberg is founded.

Between 1990 and 1999 Vogel & Noot undergoes a massive expansion, setting up a number of subsidiaries in Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. This leads to a further expansion at the Wartberg site.

From 1995 to 2000, the tool making business at Wartberg, jointly with the sheet-metal shop in Hungary, develops as a high competence supplier for the automobile supply industry. It becomes part of the Vogel & Noot Holdings Corporation.

In 2002 Technology GmbH is founded as an independent subsidiary of Vogel & Noot Holdings, operating the tool making site in Wartberg, and the sheet-metal pressing works in Mosonmagyaróvár.
